I see you're MD/WV, I'm MD during the week and WV during the weekend. I hope to be WV full time soon.

Yeah, I live in WV, but I'm in MD so often, I basically live in both places. I'm right in Harper's Ferry, so basically MD haha

Oh sick. That's a great location too. Isn't that close to some trails?

I have officially hit 3k miles on the Black 4Runner today, so its time for another update.

As it stands, its been a relatively perfect daily driver. However, it does have its own issues. When it rains or snows, water leaks through the hood scoop and gets all over the belts, thus causing the power steering belt to squeal something awful. When i first start it now, it has no powersteering for almost a minute (at cold start, only). The rack is new, the belt is new, so maybe the pump is bad? No leaks, no loss of fluid at all.

It also, still has some sort of front diff leak that i have not fixed yet.

    Tires are great.

One brake caliper drags more than the others, thus causing a little pull to the right under hard braking.

The drums seem to have smoothed out as well, they used to thump and make the vehicle hop under hard braking, i suspect from the vehicle sitting with the brake set for months on end.

Also finally got a radio in, Pioneer AVHX120BT with bluetooth. Bought a back up cam on Amazon but haven’t put it in yet...

Glad to hear all is well, these 3rd gen 4runners are hard to kill. I have driven mine daily for the past 8 years and it's never let me down, and I run the piss out of it. Its now 20 years old with 230k miles. I don't even have to pop the hood between oil changes. I did all the preventative maintenance like tb & wp, changed all the fluids ect... and upgrades like a external trans cooler & tundra upgrade shortly after I bought it. I've read about & saw first hand those scooped hoods causing the engine to get wet, that's why I never bought one. Those hoods do look good tho.

This lifted sport edition 02 is still sitting at my work. And as you can see that sti is still sitting here too. I've been dragging my feet about contacting the owner of the t4r and making him a offer.

Stop by and talk to Bill about it. I know he wants to start clearing the lot, that STI has been sitting there for years.
