That is supposed to be a hell of a machine. I bought the ctx3030 like 5 months before they released their equinox series and I do not use any of the features the ctx has over the equinox. Definitely would have gone equinox if I had the choice just because the price.

Awesome! Good for you! I hear good things about the 800. I think it is fairly new and already very popular. That's a good sign.
Funny you say that. I have been eyeing the 3030 as an upgrade from the E-Trac, but many of the 3030 features don't seem to add a lot of value for me. Do you think there is much difference between the Equinox and 3030 performance-wise?

I have never used an equinox personally, but from what I recall I don't think the recovery rate or the depth potential Is much if at all different between the two. I love my ctx, just didn't love the price.

Have you run the E-Trac? It is my understanding that the 3030 reaches deeper and has a quicker recovery than the E-Trac. I have seen several YouTube comparisons, but I don't put much faith in the results. Too many Fan Boys pushing their viewpoints...

I have not used an e track either. Definitely hard trying to pick a detector because most the reviews of all of them are so positive.

This is proving to be very difficult, what with some of the thread topics over there...
