    Also funny side note is the steel plate I bought for the fuel filter mount. It was a spare piece of scrape at a metal wholesaler in Houston and since @Torspd welded my plate to my truck it hasn't rusted nor has the uncoated spare plate left over plate at the @Torspd speed shop. I wanna send that over to toyota usa and dana that you should make some frame outta this. Lol

    Our filter is also rated for every fuel, high GPH flow, while also having very low micron filtration. Around 5 microns. Takes 10 seconds to replace, but at the additional cost of initial expense. Worth it.

    For you guys, you could get a couple 5/16" adapters to fit that fuel filter, with the length of hose between. Then it'd just be plug-n-play.

    sounds like a worthy add then for quick swaps later on. How often do you need to replace fuel filters?

    Good to know. I am probably due for a filter change. I was holding off on a bunch of things in prep for the SC install since alot of it gets swapped out anyway.

    An aftermarket fuel pump should be one of your first installs if you’re going FI.

    I've had both :anonymous:. I bought a WAT valve body first since it would allow me to get my truck up and running quickly as opposed to waiting a few days for the rebuild from IPT. Big mistake. Had nothing with issues with shift flares 3-4 shift and 4-5 shift. After getting in contact with cruiser Brothers and the wholesale transmissions in Australia, they had me uninstall and reinstall to check all the seals for the clutch packs were there. I even reinstalled my stock VB just to see...no slipping from stock valve body. So after a while of back and forth, I sent them videos of my tach gauge cluster as the slips were happening. Cruisers agreed to refund me and return the defective VB. Although I got a full refund, I was still out my time and cost of toyota atf.

    I don't have anything bad to say about WAT or cruiser Brothers, I may have just gotten a defective VB. They are rebuilt valve bodies so it can be hit or miss. Who knows where the cores come from? Some people haven't had issues with WAT VB but I'm just relaying my experience.

    With IPT, I haven't had any issues, shifts are crisp and the VB works as intended. Had to wait a few days for the rebuild but it was worth it. Shipping was fast and since they are in NJ and I'm in NY it was super quick...I sent it before July 4 weekend so didn't get it until middle/end of next week but that was to be expected. I think IPT works out to be cheaper too since they rebuild your existing valve body.

    If I had to do it again, I would do IPT and not worry about issues as I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with their service!:thumbsup:

    Totally. Already have AEM 320 and FIC 650's on the fuel side. Just looking at other areas since I will be in there and going from Stock to smaller pulley (2.5) and related items to go with it. Then HP tune on top of all that. if im swapping the fuel pump if its worth to swap fuel filter now or just leave it stock.

    Most people that install an aftermarket fuel pump in the gas tank take out the stock fuel sock completely.. And install an external fuel filter for easy swap out.

    This. I have an inline filter under the truck.. not as clean as that FST one.. but it works. Napa Filter.

    ah ok. If I have the AEM I am going to install what do you guys suggest to get? I did get another sock per se according to page one but an external one would be a nice easy way to swap.

    Why not double the fun? Internal sock and external filter. Or is it too much restriction? Isn't the fuel pickup part of the sock?

    Most of the old school 90s vehicle and truck setups are built in this way, I really don't know why you would get rid of the sock.

    So leave the replacement sock you have posted on page 1 then possibly add a FST or other external. Would you still replace internal or just deal with the external? Fuel systems for me are new. Prob need to replace a few things on my truck now anyway.
