Yeah that’s a rebuilt salvage. Someone fixed it in the past. No way to find out how it was damaged unless you do some good detective work.

i know the parts they quoted are seriously marked up at $173 each OEM only

i would roadtrip, my taco loves the miles and needs more

 

before TAX is $593 HFS ... front shock absorbers and front mounts were much extra

mechanic told me the UBJs are part of the upper control arm

They come out; upper ball joints and upper control arms are separate components.
