They come out; upper ball joints and upper control arms are separate components.

i will get those priced at Camelback, see how much they are

unfortunately he could not find any better shock absorbers for my truck other than OEM quality, the rest he said for my situation are not of good quality
i was really hoping i could get a smoother ride on these local garbage roads

    Ah gotcha!

Cross your fingers for me for this Friday; apparently I'm supposed to get double pay for the month of December.

If I'm not happy with it (since that $5k tax hit that suddenly came up), I'm going to request more.

From there, I may want to buy a transfer case already.

Why the transfer case first? So I can twin stick mod it.

@Area51Runner the parts you got recently, everything check out OK?

Those CV axles alone more than made up for it even if something else needed replacing.

still researching - might need to replace bearings, might not. may just need to be pressed in a bit more on that one side.
facepalm moment but I may just go the easy route and do manual hubs. Been doing a ton more reading on the conversion. I'm not sure if ADD/JShift will require that 4WD ECM. The trans relay is only 50 bucks but that ECM is expensive.
If I do decide to abandon ADD/Jshift, all this will be going back into the marketplace :bananadead:

not sure, still reassessing my plan. been digging up lots of old info off the internet wayback machine for the ttora wiki before it went MIA. Some good info out there, just have to dig. Was one dude on TW who was really kicking ass with his conversion and the build after. Sadly he vanished off TW in August 2019 and hasn't been back. Would love to pick his brain with what he did. He had ADD and the front was locked constantly. Interesting approach. @RoberTacoma28, what happened to you brother... hope you're doing well. Your posts were good reading :hattip:

Yeah I'll pull the steps soon, thankfully they're frame mounted so they should come off real easy. I kinda like the hood guard. But for how often I'm driving it I probably don't need it.

IIRC my steps were frame mounted too. Rear bolts were easy, front were annoying cause they bolted to the crossmember, not the frame.
