One of my favorite features. Mine came installed from the factory so, I probably paid more like $300 for it in the overall purchase price. It definitely gets used though.

Seems like a subtle upgrade that can help a lot. I like it.

Not really the point though is it?
I can climb on the roof of my house by using a ladder, and then standing up.

I'll just throw a plastic footstool in the back when I get old. I'm only 65.

I'd never admit to it, i bought one when i got my truck. It makes it a lot easier to climb in back and wash the roof A lot of people around here don't like them. However under the same breath they complain about no driver side a-pillar grab handle. The irony.

The price was a screaming deal BTW

Yep, and not everyone wants to sit on a tailgate that’s wet, dirty or muddy.

I got mine off Craigslist for $50 and installed it myself. I’m old and fat so it’s great help for getting in and out of the bed.

Great score! I got mine after going to get cornstalks at the farmers market for my wife to use for fall decorations. I looked like a greased pig trying to climb a post, not pretty. I was going to just start carrying a step ladder in the bed, then was going to get one of those ladders that bolts to the tailgate then I found the real deal on a thread here. Great addition.

I love the bedstep, makes getting in and out easy.
    The ladies love it.

Now if only there was one on the opposite side.

Exactly why I traded a 2016 Colorado. 24k and it wouldn't downshift when I need to accelerate and sometimes slipped (disengaged but took a second to re-engage and didn't mesh correctly) 3-4 around town. Also had rust all over the hood. I have to say GM is great with warranty work, but that ship was sailing quickly as it was just going out of warranty.

Funny thing was it was on Craigslist for almost a week! I got lucky on that one.

I use my step, then tailgate, then step on the diamondback cover and access my roof rack. Love the step.

I tried ordering the bed step from my local dealer and they told me that the bolt pattern was different on my 2019 TRD sport. So it wouldn't fit. Did you have to make any modifications when I stalling it or are they just BS'ing me?
Because it looks like your bed step fits fine on your sport

Yep, fit perfectly. Just two bolts that are the bumper bracket bolts I believe. They come out, the step bracket goes over the holes and then the bolts go back through. You’ll need a torque wrench and at least a couple extensions and the correct size socket, it wasn’t that tough at all. I’d order from one of the online OEM, sites, probably a good bit cheaper than the dealer. Let me see if I can find where I ordered mine from.

Here it is, didn’t realize that I paid so much for shipping, thing is kind of heavy though. 7E730394-B287-422E-9334-7D2CE071DCBD.jpg

I saw some OEM places online but they were charging too much for shipping. My local dealership charged me $190 and $3 to pick it up.
Thanks for the info. I am going to go ahead and get it.

That’s a good deal for sure! There’s several online videos out there on installation.

Thanks for your help. The dealership also told me that the TRD skid plate won't fit the Sport.

That one I can’t help you with but I would think that it’d fit?
