Mine is pinstriped/scratched to hell and back, and has almost 150k miles on it. I drive it everywhere I go and would drive it anywhere. A scratch doesn't make a truck stop being a daily driver. Mine was in showroom condition when I bought it. As I walked over to it after signing the papers, I patted it on the hood, apologized to it, and have been using it ever since. Just use it for what you want to do with it and enjoy it.

Is Tahuya tight, or is it more forest road with occasional obstacles?

Anyone have input on whether my Blizzaks would survive a Tahuya run? I really need to get a second set of wheels so I can swap quickly.

Oh, I thought it was technically a state forest with ORV trails. Didn't realize it was actually an ORV park.

I think we need to get a head count at this point of ppl that can still make it on the 12th and if we at least get 3-4 ppl we can make it happen
Just have someone take lead with the time ,place ,trails ....and what to bring with us recovery gear ,passes ....
preferably someone that has been there before

There’s still plenty of forest roads to cruise around on and get great views and camp spots away from all the people, but in a stock truck you’ll have to wait for spring in a lot of those places

I was thinking of going with a 2" lift and some 285/70R17 Wildpeak tires...

Someone was selling front and rear Bilstein 5100s for $200 on the CL thread. Might be worth checking if they're still available.

    Edit: Here's the post.

Been reading up on Tahuya... Definitely not going through any puddles while I'm there. I don't have diff breathers installed yet for one, and I do not want to end up as the first hydro-locked taco of 2020.

    IT NEVER ENDS..........
Meetups are easier, just pick a local brewery, decent food spot or coffee spot and set a date. Good way to meet, check out trucks and talk to like minded others before hitting a trail with them for the first time. I will be back and forth from JBLM and Lake Stevens when i get back and can help coordinate some if anyone is interested. Once i get familiarized with the area again (been 17 years) I can setup and lead some trail runs.

Tahuya is rather open and has limited rocks. There's different entrances, but the one I go in has moderate rocks at the very beginning. I went with a group that had an 86 Ranger on totally-shitty-not-even-an A/T tires.

    January 18th
    The plan:
Meetup at 9:30 at the Belfair Safeway then head to Tahuya around 9:45ish.

I can probably go on the 12th for a while, probably have to head out at about 1. I'd like someone with a lot of experience to lead though, I'm very new to the OR game.
