I was one of the ones under the original retirement plan. they changed it on the next plan to 500 hours max. and then the third plan people were hired under it went to 300 hours. It has now changed to a 401 plan.

Yeah I have about 250 sick hours and 50 more personal time hours plus my regular pto I earn every year.... I use a lot of my pto every year because I'm not a happy person without time off, hahaha.

I got paid out a ton a few years ago cause I lived at work through launching online grocery, quitting smoking and going through divorce and issues with my kid but man! I'll never work that much again. I think I only took a day or two extra off a couple times... about killed me. My feet haven't been the same since.... plantar fasciitis still won't go away.

In addition to my Sick leave I was only allowed to cash in 6 months worth of Annual Vacation time. I lost about 280 hours on that one.

Ya I was doing 20 hour days for 2-3 weeks straight and that was 7 days a week. At the end of that project I was a miserable person.

Anything over 10 and productivity goes way down. I did it so the people who worked for me didn’t have to.

    Damn!

I've taken 1 sick day in 26 years for myself.

I sometimes hate 12 he shifts. I'm never more than 3 days from a weekend.

I've taken 6 for family reasons.

This is looking like my last year, so I'm thinking I might be pumping those numbers up.

    I hear you.

Sitting here drinking a beer, I've come to the conclusion, the fact I didn't take sick days regular, is not something to brag about.

The guys that used their 2 weeks of sick time every year are getting the same retirement I'm getting.

    Whose the retard now?

I had a bunch of my Mechanics that used to "earn them and burn them" then when they did get sick they had to do it without pay. Or use vacation time.
