    4 run, 2 don't
I can see the benefit if going from 4x4 manual hub to 4x4 ADD, and that's because of the Tundra axles used when going long travel.

Oh and tell anyone else that's deterring you from your swap to fuck off extra, on my behalf.

If you are doubting yourself and feel like you need to go manual hub, I'd be more than happy to pick up your ADD setup from you.

Really though, I don't see much of a difference in converting a 4x2 to 4x4 j-shift with ADD vs a 4x2 to 4x4 j-shift with manual hubs; it's like Dan explained, and he's willing to help in that area.

only ECU involved other than the ECU and 3 pins is the 4x4 computer that only controls the diff lock.. nothing else. the main communication is between the transmission Relay for the j shift transfer cases. the motors in the actuator know when theyre engaged and not

might just take you up on that if its needed, thank you. :hattip:

Perhaps I need to change my terminology - when I said cable, I meant harness as in plug.
Well, I checked and that transmission relay plug we were talking about is there but there is nothing plugged in. It's just sitting there.

Now that is where I'm confused. So when I pulled the HVAC panel and the accessory plug part of the console, according to the docs that 4WD ECM should be right above the airbag sensor module. There is nothing there and no plug for it if it were to be there. I've also come across a few posts which talk about it not being needed at all. I need to pull up that link.

good chance the harness is all there interior wise. espeically since you have a fuse box with a 4wd fuse in. so it'll likely be running wires outside the truck to control the actuator and the sensors on the t case

and finding a used transmission control relay

once again.. wouldnt surprise me. they'll use the same interior harness and fuse box for Alot of models. i wouldnt be surprised if you have a unused connector in you passenger side kick panel

i have a tundra that was never offered with half the shit i put in it... but it was wired for it in the harness
