I'm thinking of going from the hood hinge mount bracket so somewhere inside the fender, haven't really made a decision yet. My SWR is currently about 3.2 and I need to check with a multimeter but pretty safe assumption the lack of good ground has something to do with it. Im running a 3' firestik as well. Don't really have experience with CB radios or electronics in general so flying a bit blind here!

As I always used to say back in college, "Due tomorrow? Do tomorrow!"

I had a fender lip nmo mount for my dual band but didn’t like that it blocked one of the ditch lights.

made an extension and used the light bolt to hold it together. Works great and tuned up nice.

Nice! Looks clean. What did you have to do to get a good ground on that bad boy?

Scuffed through the powder coat on the ditch mount, both points of contact on the stainless antenna piece and the hood bolt holes. Otherwise it’s fine.
