If you have manual hubs, just don't lock em, there poof 2LO. If you have vac ADD, put an interrupt switch to the vac solenoid, there poof 2LO. Electric ADD, interrupt switch for the front actuator relay, again POOF 2LO. Not a feature worth spending the cash and time on for none of your interior to fit right over it anymore haha. Now dual cases and triple stick.... That might be worth it.

Point being, I don’t think it’s worth the extra trouble to go for ADD. Are you doing J-Shift too or the 4WD-on-the-fly case?

I didn't answer you before, but I agree I'm of the opinion that the extra work for the ADD isn't worth it. But that's just opinion.

Yeah all you need is a simple relay and a switch. Don’t need to bother with the 4WD computer crap. It just had extra stuff on it to prevent you from activating the RR DIFF LOCK in any mode besides 4LO, and lights that stupid light on the dash.

Additionally; there are two different types of ADD actuators. It sounds like you’re trying to use vacuum ADD which is a PITA and don’t bother with it. 2001-2004 uses electronic ADD and uses a motor instead of VSV’s and vacuum tanks that early 4Runners and 1995-2000 Tacomas use.

Actually, I am trying to figure out what exactly I need. On the one hand, i have input talking about Vac. On the other I have mention of just the transmission control relay being necessary (which I'm already wired for). No need for the 4WD ECM since I'm not going the ADD/Push-Button route.

    upload_2020-1-7_22-11-40.jpg

So again, I'm still trying to determine which route to go. Honestly, I'm actually growing really tired of this whole ADD is going to not be worth it shit and I should just do manual hubs because of the wiring aspect. Its a challenge and I'm going to make it happen.

I do appreciate every single person who has actually responded to my questions and tried to answer them. Hats off guys... Thank you.
