Bought it as my first vehicle ever at 15 and built it into what it is today. Truly love everything about this truck, especially because of the hard work I’ve put into it. Check out my build thread in the quote to see what my truck started as if you’re curious.

2014 TRD 4x4 that I stole from the dealer with 25,000 miles. Lived and learned through trials and tribulations with all the work done by my own hands.

Styled and nodded by my own needs and likes through second hand purchases (cuz I was raised to penny pinch)

my ongoing work of art that I wouldn’t trade for the world !

I got my great truck in 04. It was a reliable 01 Tacoma, with 28k miles, green, paid $17k in cash for, it has everything I need/want and not a damn thing I don't- well, may be the cigarette lighter. Many people I know are on their 2nd, 3rd, +? vehicle and I still have my awesome green 01 Taco.

It's a 2008 X-Runner, which means it's a "sports car" that can haul my bike or kayak to play. I'll routinely drive around sports cars on two lane curves...lol

I had four mandatory requirements for my truck: (1) it needs to at least a "access cab" (so I can toss my gym bag in the back), (2) it must have a manual transmission, (3) it has to have a LSD, and (4) must have AC (duh...lol). The X-Runner checked every box.

2008 was the last year with a "clutch type" LSD. Toyota moved to a "electronic" limited slip where it uses the truck's brakes to gain traction. I prefer a real (mechanical) LSD. If I ever burn out the clutch disks, may look for a Truetrac type diff.

It's only had two mechanical failures in the last 12 years: a brake light bulb failed several years ago, and I just lost a low beam filament. Can't beat Toyota quality!

This is my second Toyota truck, and would still be driving my 94 if a semi hadn't killed it in 2008. I'll drive this one until the wheels fall off, then I'll go buy another Tacoma! Who knows, might get a 4X4 next time...lol

The SECOND main reason I love this truck is because it's a blank slate. Thanks to TW, I've got plenty of ideas for it. Cheers!

I wonder how much of a carbon footprint was left behind in producing that jacket she is wearing or that microphone for that matter?
or that dock she is standing on?
& boats grow on trees, right?
