When you're power steering and synthetic oil is stupid thick from the cold. You start thinking about not going to work. That happened 2018/2019 winter coldest it hit was -55 with wind chill.

Freeky Virginia weather. Was 55 @ 9 pm. Frosted the inside of last remaining 1880s window overnight. Now it's 45 with 70 predicted. No wonder Yoda HOPS on first clutch drop after sitting for days and nights like these. I bet my flywheel is soaking wet right now if it's not still ice.o_O

    I have mods
Fucking 4th gen T4R people are whining about having to do a body mount chop to fit 33s without rubbing. I don't see the big deal, it's a relatively easy mod, especially if you can weld.

I used the specs Toyota puts for the engines. And synthetic does have better resistance to extreme temperatures. But at -55 nothing except special blends will resist that.

That would suck for the average Joe blow that wants to run 33s cause that's like the first size that tires start to be considered 'big tires' or something. So I imagine some 22 yr old getting his 4th gen 4runner and then getting onto a forum to see what to do to get the basic smallest of 'big tires', 33s, installed and sees he has to chop metal and weld..... I'll bet they're pissed! It'll weed out the posers though

Last winter I did the trucker trick I got a metal bucket and a tarp. Put some coals from a fire in the bucket and put it under the truck while the tarp is over the hood. I do heat my house with wood so it works out well for me.

Going to check out an LX470 after work on Friday. Time to upgrade to something with luxury. Not a new one cause I think they are ugly and too $$$.
