Custom Look a Like Scoshe 10" Sub Encloser

Hi Mr. Marv,

Are you able to build a custom 10" sub woofer encloser similar to the prior 10" Schoshe encloser?

I would like the encloser to be located on the rear driver side and be able to drop into that location without needing to cut the plastic bins. If possible a drop in encloser. The box would also need to built to accommodate a single 10" JL W3 sub.

Hey Cris, I can build you an enclosure that drops right in like the Scosche but unfortunately it will not be physically possible to install a 10W3 in it unless you modify your rear seat.

Understood. I would like to fit a 10W3 into an encloser without too much modification. I surely would not want to cut up the rear seat.

Let me rethink the setup again and I will let you know, as I may change my mind and just remove the bins entirely & go with a single 12W3 encloser rear passenger side with room for mounting 2 amps on the rear passenger side. Have you built this type of encloser/rack mounting space already?

I was a bit incomplete with my previous answer Cris! The 10W3"v3" will not fit even if you remove the bin unless you do a small modification to the seat (requires spacing the seat out a bit) however I can fit a "v2". You can see many of my designs at the link below and since I custom build each one I can do it just about any way you like as long as we can physically fit everything (unfortunately you would need to do some serious modification to fit a 12wv3)

Marv, wow your quick at responding! It looks like my option for a 12W3 is out the door.

I would however like to see what can be done to fit a 10W3 into the passenger rear seat.

What type of modification needs to be done to the seat to make this sub fit? Do I need to modify the seat brackets, by possibly bending them so that the seat now moves forward a bit?

I looked at your build page on the link provided. And I was particularly interested in pictures 1, 5 & 6. How is picture one built to mount on the cab, does this encloser drop into the rear passenger side, just like your build on 5 & 6?

I am leaning towards this type of enclosers if they mount on the rear passenger side, but I would also need rack space to fit 2 amps, 2 farad cap & 2 distro blocks & if at all possible 2 crossovers for the component speakers up front. If this is not possible then I can relocate the crossovers to a different location.

I have listed the specifics & the links on each hardware that I would like to mount on the rear passenger side.

Subwoofer - JL10W3 V3
Amplifier - JL 250/1
Amplifier - JL J2 320.4
Capacitor - Power Acoustic 2 Farad
Polk Audio crossovers (2) - Polk Audio db6501 (if possible)
Monster Distro Block (2)

I just happened to be up late last night weeding through my email mess as usual!

The mod to the seat just requires some spacers to move it forward a bit and it will still operate properly. Unfortunately even with this mod you will not be able to fit all that gear on just the passenger side! (you could save yourself a bit of room by ditching the cap as you really don't need it )
BTW, please post the actual pictures from my photobucket so I can see which ones you are referring to.
