You've already got your rev-hang delete, so the only thing that would help you with that is a lighter weight flywheel or anything else that would reduce the mass (inertia) of the rotating assembly. Lightweight pulley's, remove weight from crankshaft, etc..

Rev Hang Delete tune from @JustDSM and MT Accumulator Delete Mod (ADM) were all it took for several of us to be happy (for the first time) with the way our 6MTs shift.

    hahah i kid i kid.

My last truck did have a 4L80E that was built that did chirp the tires between 1st n 2nd, ill admit pretty bad ass. That 2 to 1 downshift got me in trouble a few times in the rain... next thing i know facing the wrong way. And my old 79 jeep was awesome rowing gears in that wide ratio trans with no syncros in 1st n reverse.

@JustDSM yes absolutely. Me.... naw, the amount of effort / knowledge that goes into the auto trans tuning is like 1/50th of what JustDSM does. Couple of graphs in excel, a couple of hours playing around with how those graphs are shaped to understand whats going on, boom bang a relative "one size fits all" sportier auto trans tune..... JustDSM on the other hand, individual engine tunes per person etc, with changes based on logging etc etc. Dude is a machine!

And you deserve your credit! I haven't read of many folks doing what you're doing with the auto trans, keep on keepin on. Many thanks from me and my turdyota.

haha absolutely. I have been really likeing how the truck behaves with the v12 trans tune. The changes to lower gears make things around town pretty darn close to perfect. I wish (or wonder) if HPTuner will bring out the tables for things like flex lockup and the AI functions of the auto trans.

What are the chances for 2uzfe support? ECU is barely different. Trans is the same actually (A750F)

Being such an antiquated motor I honestly doubt they'd put effort into it. Sucks cus its a great motor that has a pretty good following of people who do swaps with them.

    Antiquated?!?:smash:
I sourced a donor with VVTI and 70k miles. Great motor yes. Indestructible block and awesome low end torque. Stock the horsepower to weight ratio may not be great but you can build internals with 1uz parts, supercharge it and make serious power. Just tuning for it isn’t so easily done.
And there’s nothing like V8 sound.

It also much smoother/quieter than our V6 (timing belt and no chatty valves)

What @HPTuners needs to do is bring out tables which allows the tranny better downshift capabilities under uphill or incline situations. The tranny lugs too much in the same gear for too long before downshifting.

I'm surprised the issue still has not been addressed actually!

That can all be changed currently. My v12 trans tune is based around my essentially stock NA truck with light tires so a SD'd truck with heavy tires and armor is going to change things.

Downshift curves on my v12tune have not changed much at all:

    upload_2020-1-8_9-14-33.jpg

We could easily create downshift curves that are raised up for "quicker into the pedal" downshifting.

What, really?! Oh well hell, I stand corrected then. I had no idea.

Hey @JustDSM has his v12 trans tune been integrated into my latest tunes by the way? I definitely want to take advantage of that fast downshift based on incline stuff.
