Always the best recommendation! I was wondering when you'd show up. ;)

Seriously, David's a great guy and he and his mechanics know their stuff. I take the 1+ hour drive up there because it's worth it to get the job done right.

Sandblast. Should be easy with that flat of a surface.

Get the right wire wheels. They hold up well.

    And always wear eye protection!

Greetings CubanTaco. I've probably passed you a few times. I work in Scotch Plains right near the QuickCheck on Westfield Avenue.

Wow, I appreciate both offers and certainly don't mind traveling. Ironically I went to college for auto / diesel mechanics and worked at Larson Ford in Lakewood for a little while, so I'm not a stranger to turning wrenches. Unfortunately it's been 8 years since I last did it for a living and I don't have all the right tools at my disposal anymore. Still have my basic hand tools and air tools but I don't have the specialty stuff (spring compressor, trans jack, etc).

    David, where's your shop located?

I'll have to reconfirm but from what I could tell, the front of my truck is almost 2" lower than the rear. What setting would I need to put the Billsteins on? Would I need to do a differential drop? What's required to adjust the height on the Bilstein 5100's, is it simple or do they have to be taken apart, adjusted and reinstalled? Do the spacer blocks ride that much rougher, or is it worth it to consider them?

I've seen the truck parked on the street there on Forest. I'll make sure and stop and say hello if I catch you about. I'm very often in that part of town.
