Tacomas are becoming WAY to expensive for what you are getting. You can get a full size now with more options than a mid size with fewer. It names no sense anymore!

The cycle is real. I don't play the market other than the house and 401k.

It is just difficult planning these days. We'd like to move, but where and for how much are tough to answer.

The economy is not as great as people think it is. There's some crazy data that's not really being talking about

My parents are the same way they are ready to retire and sell their business but the housing market is also insane right now.

I see this all the time too. Used trucks with 20K miles, selling for more than what I paid for mine, brand new off the lot.

MSRP with the Tech package is only $35,785. Did you have $3,215 in other options ? The invoice price on a 2019 TRD OR DCSB AT is $32,404 with a destination fee of $1,095 and a $700 holdback cost. Lowest they would have even gone mathematically would have been $34,299 with JUST the tech package added in and none of the addt'l fees calculated into the final cost (i.e. no TTL).

Forget the Kings, I'd say you got suckered. $1800 for BFG tires and $6500 for UCAs? Tell me how that's not insane and I'll give you a cookie.

I remember when I priced my truck out online with the dealer extras, it was very close to the window sticker MSRP... $39,100 something. The negotiated price ended up at a little over $35k, which seemed reasonable to me. Out the door with TTL it was around $39k.

Ya sometimes I wonder about peoples supposed purchase prices posted on here. I've bought a few and pulled teeth to get what I got knowing invoice, holdback, etc. Eh.

Some markets are just very different. Here in socal you can usually score pretty good deals on OR tacos... at least that was the case in 2019 around when I bought mine.

Ya your price sounds normal. And yep regions are different, being active duty I got to experience that buying in AZ, NJ, PA and IL. I was referring to the people who claim they got $8500 off MSRP, any model. 10-12% is pretty norm, 15% if you were in the right time, place and desperate dealer.

Denver, CO. Recently paid $41,000 after TTL for a Cement 2020 TRD Off Road Premium w/ Automatic Trans, Advanced Tech Package, Tonneau Cover, Leather, Sunroof, Etc. I believe MSRP was ~$46,000.

I wish I was closer to retirement. The kids are just about gone and downsizing with more garage space would fit.

Agreed. I know I got a competitive price and likely the best I could have been offered. You can tell you've gone beyond the holdback when the salesman laughs at you...
