I don't know much about Sauk area or the lwr. I usually go down near blanchardville. Ive wanted to fish the black earth creek and have been told the Richland center area I've heard are good.

I hit some of Black earth over the summer.
Took a (cough..cough) lunch hour. Caught a a few small ones on a tiny Mepps foxtail spinner.

I still have hope to hit the ice before March. Maybe up north.

I'm probably going to the Blue River or the Big Green. Both are north and west of Fennimore in Grant County and depends on which one is showing the most color, most creeks are running low and clear. Black Earth gets pounded but would save me an hour drive. I'll probably check that on my way out there. I had a bad experience on BEC last year and it has me spooked but still lots of that river I haven't fished.

I’m hoping for some colder weather so I can hit the ice.
ECEB4E17-3C1F-4AE3-8FDC-C11F599CC9EA.jpg Found a nice little spot near the Dells today.(between the Dells& Reedsburg)
    2C98ECE0-B025-432E-8CBF-80FF88B1EEBF.jpg
There’s a bar/restaurant across the street called “Poor Nates.” Might be time to have a Fishing/bar Tacoma trip. This spot was posted with a Wisconsin state sticker required.

Many moons ago I remember hanging out in the Dells-Reedsburg area and there was a bunch of 2 track roads we would drive down. Everything seems to be paved now.
Maybe someone knows this area better that can shoot some places near here.
