Don't know anything about that. More than one vehicle on the road with chrome whatever. Hell, @BartMaster1234 has chrome mirrors (unless he changed them recently).

Buy metal, make bumper. I fab shit by vague customer description at work often enough to know I can make a bumper with a truck to measure on.

Well yeah. But what are the ideas/inspiration you got going on? I did mine over two lunch breaks at work haha. Took the measurements and did the finishing touches at the house.

2x4 channel rear bar, going to cut and box the ends internally so that instead of mounting on the top the swingouts are frenched in. Chamfered rear corners meeting another section of 2x4 tube to go straight from the back to the wheel well. Chopping the bedside in the process. Plate curved underneath for some style to maintain at least a moderate curve underneath, that way it isn't just a blocky shape.

Ah so a lot more complex then mine. I used a piece of 2x6 channel iron for the bulk of it. Just capped the ends and threw a receiver tube underneath. Think it was like $120 all said and done.

No wonder you’re making a plate bumper for it, well done.

Does your oven have a self cleaning mode? Ours does and it basically raises the temperature to max and it burns all the grease and dirt like an incinerator. You just sweep the ash at the end.

What’re you talking about? The Chrome mirrors on the Tacoma are plastic.

Yeah there's going to be a bit to this one. Not sure if I want to chop the bedsides yet, but I'm kinda planning on it.
