Looking to add some AT’s to the taco.
    taco: 17 stock limited
So a few questions/scenarios. Thanks in advance.

keeping the stock 18” what would be the largest, I read 265/65/18. Would the 18” be too large to do any mild-moderate off roading?

Would there be a benefit to buy a pair of cheap-mod price smaller rims to add some AT’s to? Granted these will be drove in Alaska. if this is the case, can you point to exactly the size and rim that would compliment the best? Offset etc?

    TIA

Most go with 16-17” wheels and a 265/65-70/16-17 tire. offset is up to you depending on the stance you want. 0 offset is the easiest if you don’t want to run into any rubbing issues.

17's have the widest range of tire sizes and choices.

16's are the smallest and offer the best sidewall for modest sized tires.

Are you looking for a winter rated AT tire? Like the Falken Wildpeak AT3 or the Cooper AT3 4S? or are you looking for a dedicated winter tire for alaska?

honestly to save cash, just a at3 duratracs come recommended and have seen them in action. As long as I won’t have any issues. I’d plan on new rims etc, once I get a lift.

Right now getting a pair of steels and blizzaks for the wife Honda’s. Just some AT’s will have to do, as I’m not getting a pair of blizzaks. I’ll be driving in anchorage, it’s not going to be terrible.
