I remember catching my first pike in the UP. Man that was a fun fish to reel in.

I tried kayak fishing once. Seems like it can get sketchy fast if things go wrong lol

What kind of boat did you get? Is it in dry stack?

Damn son dual power-poles! Yee yee. I keep mine in A storage Yard. Stupid HOAs. That’s a beautiful boat. On the weekends we like to ride down the Stono to the north end of Kiawah and anchor at the beach.

This is where we go. You’ve probably been there a 1,000x being that close. I got one of those slide hammer style beach anchors. That thing is badass.

Thanks! Yeah I’ve got HOA too but have a place to park it and/or the trailer in the back where they can’t see it from the road. Marina is worth it to me...very high level of enjoyment with very low level of effort.

We normally beach at Botnay or Seabrook (red lines on pic) when it’s nice out since it’s so close.

So at work we have a pier that runs out to our boats and there are reds STACKED up right under it. Huge to small, hundreds. Just chilling there. I go out at night and just watch them swim. It's insane. Oh and we're not allowed to fish there and no boats are allowed anywhere close to it. :pout:

Meh, no one would listen. To quote the most used phrase on site.
    Me: how's it going?
Anyone else: I'd complain, but no one would listen"
A nuclear training site with a couple of nice bored blokes on a boat with a fiddy Cal mounted on the front to usher anyone passing by to the other side of site. Trust me we've tried. Apparently before 9-11 there was a boat ramp on site we were allowed to use. Now we can barely get on site and we work there.

Oh I’ve been there before. My buddy was an instructor. You don’t wanna go in the water there for a few reasons though.
