I thought I was the only one. That and last deal the sales manager was pissed and refused to thank me or smile after we agreed on numbers and I had already walked out and driven 10 mins away before being called back.

What month did you buy it? I'm just saying that getting invoice this early in the 2020 run is very unlikely. I got my 2018 at near book value too, but I bought it in October 2018...

An invoice is undoubtedly higher as well with the MSRP / feature increase.

Local dealers wanted 44k for a prem/adv tech OR, so I went ahead and spent 3k more for the Pro.

I have a feeling the Tundra is about to get significantly more expensive with the latest generations debut.

I don't have a problem with the engine. Especially after that last TSB done in it. The rest of the trucks just dont have the same fit and finish. They won't last.

Agreed. Not the same feel as my 2nd gens in that department, but we shall see. Cue the pitchfork fanboys.

Maybe. But they don't sell near as many so I doubt it. Plus the new gen is still at least two years away.

2022, but say goodbye to that solid v8 plus all the other unreliable things they'll add to it. If you can deal with the current Tundras MPG it would definitely be a truck that will last a LONG f**king time, the current gen is solid.

Exactly. And because the Tundra, as good as it is, is in 4th place, I doubt they will increase the price on it anytime soon. If I had to buy now, I would seriously consider the Tundra given the little difference in price.

Yep it will probably go up but I'm guessing similar to what we've seen with Taco refreshes, it will remain competatively priced with the other segment leaders, but Toyota knows they will never take that top spot in the segment but still needs to keep it relevant for buyers, honestly excited to see it.

Global debt is at a record high and many economists including those that predicted 2008 are indicating it as the next cause for a market correction / recession, boom bust boom, its only a matter of time. Just because entry level jobs are abundant and people are buying sh*t (likely on credit) doesn't mean the economy is healthy, but all speculation / guessing game, we shall see.

After or before, trade in, down payment? TTL shouldnt be factored in comparing prices as it varies for everyone, hard to compare. But sounds like you got a good deal / invoice.

I agree. I got a lot of add-ons for practically nothing. My loaded ‘19 OR (Premium, Tech) package MSRP’d at about $39K, and I got it for about $36K.

Reading a lot of posts I think I got a smoking good deal. Must have been end of the month with bonuses on the line.

I love the truck but no way would I pay more than $40K for it, I don’t care what trim it is.

MT or 4x2, seems low for a loaded OR, should have MSRP'd above $40k. And yep anything at 10-12% off MSRP is a good deal.

Where do you get 4x2? Mine’s 4x4 of course.

In any event that’s my recollection of MSRP.

The salesman asked me what it would take for me to drive this truck off the lot, and I said <$36K. Not a lot of haggling really.

In these parts I do think the MTs sit on the lot a long time. Mine had to be dug out of the snow - took 30” literally. Maybe that played a role in the pricing.
