Debating on the URD SS...any cons?

After reading the 6-speed thread earlier and reading about the URD SS making it better, I had to check it out. I am tempted to get this kit as I am not 100% satisfied with the 6-speed shifting. I was wondering if anyone had any cons about this kit? or tips/tricks on installation?

Anyone order this from Canada? was shipping reasonable?

Easy install and you wont regret it. Had it on my 2001 Taco and was the first thing I ordered for the new Taco.

 

I have on my 2002 4x4 and it is AMAZING!!!! Best mod yet to date on the truck.

Had since last summer when I bought the truck, Was actually mod #1.

 

can someone explain the actual difference this makes besides shortening the throws? Will this make the crappy feeling of this MT go away?

 

It will definitely help.

The other thing that screws up on these shifters, is the shifter arm. There are two (2) rubber bushings in the arm that wears out (pretty quickly). I rebuild these. I cut out the rubber portions and replace it with a polyurethane.

This along with an URD SS, you will be shifting with short positive throws.

 

How does one obtain these polyurethane bushings?

I love mine. The only negative is it is difficult to shift into reverse at the beginning. It gets easier after a while...

 

If you slap it into reverse, it will be easier.
