Of course! Tomorrow, I'm replacing my leaf springs AND putting in QA1s... I also have a rear sway bar in the works... do I NEED to do ALL of it? Probably not!

But if money was an issue... I'd wait on the leaf springs... probably not going to tax your shocks... especially with what the 4x4 people are saying... although, damn, I wish I had time to find out why, or if, 4x4 leafs can be run flat-ish and hauling trucks need curve...

Although, I should take comfort, because I'm putting 4x4 leafs on my RWD to lower it!

I haven't installed yet, one leaf arrived Sunday and my other one fed ex put in the wrong truck in NC and it went all the way to Oregan. Looks like it's on the way back to me now. Leafspring's, u bolts, bushings and shipping was $784.50.

Crikeymike recommended the l59-111-r for me as I have a leer shell on my truck.

Mine look like absolute crap as well. I wanted to get dakars but decided to get the toytec aal & buy some used leafs. I scored a set from a guy for $50. very nice used ones too

Agree. Neither the OE leafs or the recall leafs have much arch to them at all. It doesn't seem right, but with both the OE and recall leafs my truck sits ~level with 1" Bilstein lift at the front.

Correct in there isn't much arch on Toyota springs, but they shouldn't sit on the overload leaf either. Once they reach that point they are compromised. When I first got my Tsb pack isn't wasn't sitting on the overload leaf, now they are after 50k miles. They are done, need replaced. Toyota must use real cheap material when making there leafs because they fatigue pretty quickly.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, definitely helped clarify how the leafs should look on these trucks.

I finally got the front billys done, decided the leafs were fine based on the feedback. They're not quite on the overloads yet. Fronts set to 1.75 with stock TRD coils, and I ended up high in the front. Come at me BRO! lol. Now I need to decide if I want to do AAL and get a 1" rake, or just find 0.5" blocks. Worried about blocks though if the leafs are already a bit worn, but would 0.5" really stress them too much?

    Ride Height Before After
    Front Driver: 20 1/8 22 1/4 (+2 1/8)
    Front Pass: 20 3/8 22 1/2 (+2 1/8)
    Rear Driver: 21 3/4 21 3/4 (+0)
    Rear Pass: 22 1/4 22 1/4 (+0)

So the front sits 0.5" higher drivers side, and 0.25" passenger side.

    Before/After

I have the bilsteins on with 2in lift front and a 1 inch block + 2 inch aal. Aal is the way to go gives you more load capacity if you ever haul anything heavy

Right on, I haul camping/fishing gear often, every now and then a scoop of gravel or compost or whatever. I think that's the way to go. Which AAL did you get?

mine looked pretty flat like that when stock. Even my Dakars on now are like that but not as flat.

Will a 1.5 or 2" AAL added to the TSB be too much for the rear 5100's?

Bilsteins are made for up to 2.5in of lift and I have 3in with no problems, it actually rides better with the lift honestly
