Icons will ride better than OME. Bumper or not it doesnt matter.

Icons also cost around 2x as much as OME.

I was concerned about the springs being 650#. I am running the 4cyl truck. How high does the springs push up the front end if you run the icons ? Have a picture of yours ?

What Jeff said. YOU choose the ride height. Set them between 0 and 3...whatever you feel like.

    Icons, Kings, Fox, Swayaway/Camburg.

    Pick your poison.

A lot of people like Icon's because they are more "tuned" for Tacomas

I prefer my Skyjacker Adjustable coil-overs. They are tuned for what ever I say!! :D

    Plus, they are re-badged FOX.

I know the 0 to 3" rule of thumb but would the bumper push those down farther in the front than a stock truck ? Will the bumper affect the coilovers ? Thats what I meant

You shouldnt need anything else. I am not really sure what mine are set at with my ARB bumper. I know my cv boot angles are perfect. I just leveled my truck out basically. If i had to guess...I would say its adjusted for 2 inches. I didnt mess with the adjustment from where Icon sets them. I did put a 1 1/2 lift in the back. My truck sits level. It measures 38 inches from the middle of the wheels to the center of the fender flares. I am not too sure about the ride softness compared to OMEs....To me my truck rides a little firm but....no worse than my worn out stuff I replaced. I honestly havent even been offroad yet.....

Oh my..........Just talked to a fella at Slee and he said unless I liked tinkering with the front of my truck I would be better off going with OME. According to him the Icons may need to be rebuilt about every 12-18 months, or every couple of years. He said the OME setup should be good for a long time. Now I am really confused. Everyone says something different. Thinkin about cuttin up the ARB Bumper for scrap and gettin the stock shocks and springs again...........whew !

Icons (and Fox, and King, and SAW) get rebuilt, whereas OME gets thrown away.

Also realize that Slee doesn't sell Icon, but they do sell OME.

    Hmm..

Chris, if you want 2" EXACT, go with the Icons.

If you want around 2", go with OME881s.
