Wanted to throw an invite out to any who have been wanting to do hurricane creek. Rumor has it that they will start it’s seasonal closure from 01/02-04/01. Game plan is to head out there early next Saturday and return Sunday. Going to do that and the buzzards roost.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Does this require 4wd? I am still breaking in my gears. I am almost complete with the back, but have a lot to do with the front. If this is a light 4wd trip I may join to put some mikes on the front diff.

Based off the videos and trail reports I would say 4wd this time of the year is a necessity. I believe there are several sections that would pose real problems if you one wheel wondered it.

This has been on my list to do since I got blocked from doing Richland Road up in NC. I want to do it before it gets permanently closed. Not sure if I'll be here this weekend, but I'll try to make it if we come back early enough.

Hopefully it goes well for her and a speedy recovery.

This is the exact reason why we are heading up before the new year. With as much attention as this road attracts, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.
