She cleans up so well...Full wash & wax today. Got a few more things I need to button up on the truck, finish the 500 mile break in, and she's good to go.

What rate/length springs did you end up with for the TC +2 kit?

So you went to 16" from the 18" but stuck with the 700#?

Yes. The 18" and 16" fiasco was with the solo kit I had.

TC has their own springs that come on the 2.5x8 shocks, so all I did was pick spring rate.

right. You had the wrong eyelet and hose fittings so we couldn’t adjust preload much.

Truck has been running pretty smooth with the new gears. I’m still chasing a few issues that I’d like to fix, but nothing important.

    -Rear driveshaft squeaks in reverse
-Alignment is a little off, appointment tomorrow to get it perfect again
    -Underbody needs a full clean
-Thud sound when taking off from a light, coming from front end. Checked all bolts, driveshaft, etc...no idea

I got the CV axles to stop leaking finally. I ditched OEM clamps and just threw on hose clamps. No more leaking. Need to remove the full boot and pack them with grease.

Been snowboarding a lot. Have friends with season passes this year so it makes it easy. Took a pretty gnarly fall off a feature yesterday so I’m still recovering today. Here’s the new park board and my current powder board.

It's funny, as an avid skier, board sizes aren't comparable at all to skis and it always trips me up. I was like "156cm? Those are kid skis!" Then I remembered boards are a lot shorter.

    Except this one!

Haha! I have actually been wanting to try out ski’s for a while. I have a pair at home and boots, but I’m too scared I’m going to embarrass myself

Honestly, I think snowboarding is way harder to learn than skis at least to get to "I can make it down the bunny slope" level skills.

Despite being a pretty decent wake boarder, snowboarding eludes my skill set. Ironically, I am terrible at water skiing.

Snowboarding came natural to me from surfing and skating.

But the whole french fries and pizza thing...That’s not natural

    enough to have fun

Rear squeaking in reverse is a U Joint in your driveshaft gone bad I bet Thud could be ball joint somewhere? That might also explain alignment?

Honestly not sure on the thud, but the squeaking is an easy fix if it’s just your U joints.

You’re absolutely right. I actually just finished diagnosing that it was the U-Joint, then googled it and that confirmed it. I just regreased all the zerks so I’ll try it one more time, and if it doesn’t fix it I’ll replace them.

The clunking is weird. It’s right when I take off, the front *thuds* for a split second as if there’s play between two areas bolted together then it catches. My ass is too sore to lay down and figure it out today but I’ll check tomorrow.

if it’s from take off, maybe it’s your carrier bearing? Just go 1 piece DS!

also, U joints are easy so that’s a good and cheap fix

Truck is going in for a PPI tomorrow.

If all goes well, it will most likely be sold in the following week.
