Official 2019 NCAA Football thread

Y'all have Carson Beck the future, that's according to twitter after he flipped from UF to UGA...but really in a tough spot with all the offensive departures going to need to gel together quickly with UVA opener (decent defense don't know how much they are losing) and then at Bama week 3

 

Im hoping Mathis gets medically cleared. I heard great things about him and would like to see him have a chance to play

 

Every year, every new top recruit for (I’m sure) every team is labeled the future of said program. And every year the recruits that came on the year before (who was dubbed this by those fans) have been sitting on the bench learning the system, is forgotten by the fans who talk like this. As those fans want the new shiny recruits to play immediately
Certainly is a small window for whoever takes over under center to get everything together and to gel.

 

Cute how all these UGA fans be talking about 2020 like they are not going to drop a game to some un-ranked team and end barely missing the payoffs. As my grandma would say. God bless them, they are touched.

 

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching them have to talk about next year, because their team didn't make the playoffs/championship, because their defense WAS NOT elite enough..

 

That is still a lot better than 90% of teams in college.....especially your UVA cavs..

 

shhhh they still think Kirby isn't Richt 2.0, let them have a little happiness each offseason

To be fair, except for 2, literally every team's fanbase in the NCAA is talking about next year, not just us. I'm also excited for lsu without Burrow next year.

 

I don't think we are all as optimistic as you think. I had a conversation about hoping we dropped to the Bahamas Bowl this morning in my group chat. Who do you root for again? They any good next year? Recent playoff appearances?

I am curious....when Smart doesn't win it all next year and continues the legacy that Richt left, what is next for UGA?
