Are you saying you recognize the handwriting because it’s your handwriting?

So I’m searching for t cases. I have an automatic transmission in my tacoma so I would have to simply get a automatic fj case. The harness should plug in and I would show 4hi/4lo on the dash

Now the auto fj case uses the add stuff but if I wanted to do an add delete how would that work? Simply just do the fj front diff tube and good to go? Everything on the dash would still work as well?

lots of info on here so I’m just clarifying the abundance of info.

I want to convert my PreRunner to 4wd, it's a 2006 4.0L V6 with an automatic. On eBay they're listing different years of FJ Cruiser transmissions, for example 2007-2009, 2011- 2014, what years of FJ Cruiser automatic transmission and t-case should I be looking for? Thank you.

The connectors on the FJ case look the same but the tabs were slightly different so I wound up swapping my sensors from the taco case. For the lights to work on your dash there are two wires that need to be spliced from the 4wd ecu connectors above your glove box...one for each sensor. You're just skipping over the ECU so that the sensor goes straight to the dash, instead of through the ECU.

Correct on the ADD tube if you're doing it with the FJ case. Just swap out the FJ parts and enjoy electronic free 4wd operation. Zip tie or cut the wires back so they are up out of the way.

    Awesome. Thank you.

so auto Fj case, plug in t-case, by pass 4x4 computer using the splicing method you showed. Add tube deletes all electronics except for dash light which just shows gearing of the t-case.

I believe he made them. If your talking about the ability of the shaft to be removed from the case, that piece was made by him if I recall. @NeonHeights made some to a while back.

Looking for some ideas to clean my twin sticks up. I will get some more pic's when I get home. It was like this when i got the truck. I want it to look clean. Doesn't have to be perfect. Just cleaner.
The front shifter hits my tranny shifter. Kinda annoying.
It also makes me lose the cup holder up front.

I don't really want to buy a kit. I like to make things myself.

just to reconfirm.. I have a 2007 automatic. I will need a 4x4 transmission in order to utilize the fj t case since the automatic will not bolt up correct?

About to order the 4x4 transmission, fj transfer case, rear driveshaft, crossmember for now and will finish it off once I order the front end components (tacoma 4x4 front differential, hubs and axles + fj differential tube to delete ADD)

I have a few templates that I have saved so either I will have it welded up locally by a friend or if RST ever responds with a decent price I will purchase from them. It seems alot of people have had issues with RST recently so I may opt for the latter option. Doesn't seem difficult at all but I am only comfortable with welding up exhausts and not a structural component.
