I forget but I don't think mine was black like the color of the stock skid plate bolts. I think it was either zinc cadmium plated (goldish) or just gray. But then again it could have corroded & turn that color.

Cool af. I always get excited to see any big ass hawks or eagles flying. I saw a golden eagle haul ass down from sky beak first, and at last second bring those talons and feet down and grab a snake in a farmed field.... And then head off
One of the coolest things I've seen like that

Ok @Kwikvette @01x4 and anyone else interested... According to ARB US Tech Support, these are the updated (09/20/2011) install instructions for the 3423020 ARB WINCH BULL BAR BUMPER for 1995-2004 Tacomas.

    NO CUTTING NEEDED

Oh and one more thing, I asked him about adding a winch and if it was necessary to do any kind of reinforcement to the frame or the way the bumper was mounted. He was very clear that if the instructions for install were followed, no additional modifications would be necessary. Doing so would void the product warranty.

yep, that was way old info. You can still do it, I wouldn't though. Look at it this way - if you're winching and the bumper comes flying off, I guess ARB is going to have a serious issue. ;)

So remember how my bumper should've been delivered a whole week sooner?

Let me tell you about my call to the shipper, as well as the date of delivery.

I called to follow up on my bumper's delivery, only to be told to contact the shipping company. Apparently due to the nature of the package, the shipping company is supposed to call me to schedule delivery. Since there were road closures, they had no reason to contact me.

We set up for 1/6 for delivery.

I receive the call, and I'm told I'll get a call an hour before delivery; perfect! It'll be between 12-5 so I took care of most my errands.

I call at 445pm to follow up with the shipping company and I'm told "he's running late, should be about 530-545 delivery"

    Perfect, I'll get my haircut.

450pm I sit down and the first 'buzz' commences; 451pm I get the call "I'm here to deliver your bumper"

    FML

Long story short, I throw my hoodie on and leave in the middle of a haircut to meet the driver at a Lowes parking lot. Back my truck up to his trailer, and push the bumper/pallet into the bed of my truck (looked shady as hell).

Got back before the barbershop closed to finish my haircut

Not to mention parking pretty far away on the side of a building with said bumper in your truck bed -

    20200106_171318.jpg

I backed up against the brush/wall so no one could open my tiregate.
