    ... anyone have a tissue?

    Mat,
Based on the results so far, how much pressure do you think the otherwise stock truck can handle? Are you shooting for 20+ psi? Also, what was the peak hp at that pressure?

Oops. Didnt mean to start a rant haha but I also really am ready for the actual final tune. I know it may take time and effort to get it right but I also have grown impatient over the past 11 months being ovtuned. Am I the only one that hasnt been 100% happy with any released tune thus far? Im currently tuning back to 1st tune I recieved from Matt when i bought it Feb of 19 before he has made so many little changes for everybody. Until final release that is. I do want more power and better shift points but the stock tune has better driveability than any tune released in my opinion. Just curious if I'm the only one

I'm going through the process of purchasing a license now. What specifically don't you like?

What are you mods, and what tune specifically are you using.
Because how well the tune works, or what is liked / not liked has a lot to do with what modifications are on the truck.
Specifically gears, tires / wheel size etc.

1.05 tune is not perfect, and that's why we are working on an update.
But it takes time. I'm not rushing it. Last time I took too much forum feedback to develop 1.05. I'm not doing that this time.

1.05 from last year will open your eyes and is last full version of the tune.

Depending on what ECU version you have (stock or TSB tune), you can load some 2.0 Betas. I believe @ridinhigh95 is talking about the Betas. Those were not full tunes, but stripped down test versions. Great to try, if you want.

Dont let my one opinion stop you from purchasing. There is a good chance the final tune will be started over with from the beginning and redone correctly but all the tunes and updates released this far have more power but the driveability is not there for me. Between the truck shuddering or hesitating when you get back on the gas from letting off, transmission clunking on 3<2 and 2<1 downshifts (not as bad on stock tune), upshifting way too early and not downshifting when it feels like it needs to.

Yeah I'm going back to 1.05 to see if it feels any better than all of the betas because I cant remember. But also using kiwi3 and obd fusion data logging there are always random misfires while driving and knock feedback levels jump around which I thought was a bad the for engine (yes I run recommended or better fuel)

Oh, you are running a beta tune. I wouldn't expect that to be perfect.

I have been on 1.05 FOB 87 for the last 2,500mi waiting to get 2.0 FOB. The Betas were great, but the torque just wasn't there.

I used to get a bit excited about knock, but after @OVTune explained what the knock sensor was really detecting, it changed my perspective. Also, the tune has lessened the knock that I could hear and feel on the TSB tune by a large margin.

I am due to fill up today. I might give one of the 91 Beta a whirls since we only got those with the last batch. I haven't tried premium fuel in about a year.

I'm more concerned of knocks in a forced induction engine than our stock NA.

Well I'm sure I tried out the betas because of things I didnt like about 1.05. Misfires or knock feedback or shifting issues or trans clunking. But I'm going back til final 2.0.

Only mod currently is different muffler but had same issues beforehand

How many / what misfires and how much knock feedback?

with a lot of trans clunking, are you sure your transmission fluid is not low? This is a problem for a lot of trucks.

    What octane?

I do know there are *some* problem trucks that experience higher than normal misfires, clunking, etc. But it's overall pretty rare.

Simply put, 2.0 will encompass everything I've been working on for the last 14+ months, and I don't want to release it until everything is as perfected as possible.

04a61. I cant speak for 1.05 currently because I havent ran it in so long and just flashed back today. I didnt feel a need to datalog and try to help you tune because you had so many others doing it already. I figured it would get fixed throughout the updates but I have high hopes for final 2.0. I can stay on 1.05 and email you datalogs and my thoughts instead of the forum if that is fine or also stay stock til final release

I can agree on some of your points. I forget which beta I'm on, but the upshift from 3 to 4 happens too early when going up an on ramp. I understand this to be the gear ratio change as part of the issue. It likely can't be perfect. Interstates move at around 80 mph here and I lose some speed for hills before it downshifts from 6th to 5th. Its still way better than stock though so I'm not disappointed in the product at all.

I think I'm disappointed more in modern automatic transmissions. Or maybe its just my experience with older ones circa 2000. I have an auto 4 speed S10 that will drop a gear no problem on a hill to keep the exact speed I want. Then my 2003 Trailblazer, same exact transmission as the S10, wants to let some speed go before it downshifts. It would upshift early too. Main difference was throttle cable going to drive by wire. The Tacoma tries to stay in 6th as long as possible. Who cares if you drop from 80 down to 73 going up hill. Well, I kinda do. I prefer a consistent speed. It seems to take a lot of pedal for it to care or acknowledge me. I'm assuming a lot of modern vehicles are this way based on the fact the entire interstate of cars loses speed going up hills. I'm in Kansas too so its not steep hills, but long rolling hills.

Yeah the tacoma stock tune downshifts alot but it feels good. Could use minor adjusting but everyone complained about it, now it just bogs in every gear under 2500 rpm
