I figured SCUD of some variation, but someone in the office said Tomahawks, purchased a few years ago from the US. :notsure:

they used a qiam-1, which is a scud... or rather a copy of a copy of a "newer" scud

You’d be surprised what was approved by the DoS for FMS cases, from ‘09-16 and earlier.

Not saying this was the case, but some FMS case approvals can make you say wtf...

you probably fell over from surprise then, it's just a 20mm gun

we used to sit under the hescos right next to where they fired... usually laughing. the operating crew would normally stand away no less than like... 20 yards or so.

i mean, you wear earpro. but it really wasn't a big deal

    i probably wouldn't be surprised

the only folks that we gave Tomahawk support was the Brits.

if we gave any sort of Tomahawk support to Iran, then China and nork would have nuclear cruise missile capability. and they would all be working on the submarine launched variant as fast as possible

one commander made me use a signal when I was being sarcastic. basically, I had to scratch my nose when I applied dry humor

it worked so well that I just added it to my introduction at a new unit

When they shot that fucker I was on the flight deck. The R2D2 unit they shot was on the tower one level up starboard side...obviously. It was loud as fuck and the “wind” it created (prob concussion wave) was not that noticeable. Granted I was maybe 125-150 ft away but I had double hearing protection in.
regardless, the lead flying is insane. You couldn’t see where they were landing.

So, looks like everyone else is catching on that planes don’t just spontaneously combust.

what i always though was cool is how the links and cases are retained.

i know, out of all that capability... i was impressed by how the gun didn't spit cases and links everywhere

Isn’t it weird how a Ukrainian Airlines 737 was carrying a 9M331 missile when it crashed?
