I'm not so certain that it is a downgrade. The Tacoma actually produces more HP than my Tundra did and it was getting tired.

That’s surprising. Some of my statement was speculative.

My 2nd gen with the 4.0 towed like a boss. At least for my needs it did. This 3.5 in my 3rd gen has underwhelmed me in the towing department.

Thats a pretty sweet setup. How much do those trailer campers run? and how does the Taco do towing it? I'm curious how it would be in cold environments too?

God damn that is a sexy setup!
No experience with trailers, just wondering why the front is so long? Would think a shorter section would make it more maneuverable?

Duuuude! I originally got the sentinel and patrol mixed up. That 140/160 combo, mixed with Transition's geo and suspension layout will blow you away. It'll be the go-to for everything. You will absolutely love that thing. Just know you might need about 150+ miles before you really get a feel for its limits and handling. Super stoked for you man!

Today was the first day of my new commute since the office moved. Now 20 miles each way versus prior commute of 3 miles. Pretty sure my gooch is smoking...lol I need new chamois

20 miles is a good hoof. That's a bummer your office moved because three to four miles is like the perfect sweet spot for bike commuting

I bought this one very lightly used for $10k. I belive with the options it has it would have been around $15-$16k new. I haven't towed it yet with the Taco, but it's very light so I have no worries about it. I have slept in it in temps down to about 21F, and I was warm. It's really all about how good your sleeping bags are.

You are correct, a shorter trailer would make it more maneuverable. With that said I have never had any issues getting this trailer where I want it, it is still much shorter than the tent trailer I used to have. This model has the added platform between the tool box and sleeping area. People use that area for all kinds of different things. I am building an enclosure with doors on the ends. The ARB fridge will be able to pull out from one side of the enclosure.

That little bit of extra length pays off in dividends when backing up. Love the maneuverability of short trailers, but hate backing them up.

Yeah man it was excellent - I would even go home for lunch. Now this morning I have just been chugging coffee, my hips are tight, and I'm hungry as shit. Definitely need to get it more dialed with food at the office and leaving my laptop-that extra weight really sucks

I went from 3.9 at my apartment to 7.8 and I thought that was a bummer. But on the upside, your gonna have all the cardio when you hit the trails.

Boi you shouldn't need an e-bike for two miles. But, I do commend you for alternative commuting. There are alot of people that elect to drive/commute incredibly small distances

Fueling is going to be key. I started working out, doing an hour or so on the trainer and some yoga a couple of times of week and it has been tough for me to keep up with healthyish foods...I’m trying to lose some weight yet still probably not eating enough haha . If I was commuting 40 miles a day I’d probably be drinking some protein shakes tbh.

Certainly don't need it. But it's nice to not be sweating in the summer when I get in. Given I live and work in a rather hilly area. I've had to pedal it a few times past few weeks because the electric parts are acting up. Pedaling 66 pounds of horrible gear ratios up the hills made me both happy and angry.
