Back in the day we used to “adjust” the rear bumpers on our trucks. The hot thing was the flat chrome rear bumper. You have your buddy pull up behind your truck and loosen the bolts then angle it so it reflects back in his face. Now it would be pretty easy to wire your backup lights in the bumper to a switch.

 

I'm off Sunday but I work 2000-0400 Friday and Saturday. One of these days we need to have another Southside Houston meet. Been too long.

 

You can tint your windows yourself & i've seen great quality auto dark mirrors come up on sale on Amazon all the time. You don't need the compass, temp., & backup cam either, but there nice. If you insist on lights & i'm gettin' some soon too btw, may I suggest don't go lightbar or anythin' that looks big or intimidating. The law won't be on your side that bein' should a complaint arise. Just some strategically placed laser beams is the way i'm goin.
Made up my mind this mornin' after all that pure white new snow last night and Mr. LED behind me on my way home.

 

You can always add another circuit and a switch.

 

I know it can be done to wire em to a switch like the dome light with off on and door except in this case door would be reverse. However it's so much easier and cheaper to just wire em to the reverse.light power and ground em to the frame lol

You can save a lot of money if you just tint the mirror.

 

I'd show for a Sunday mod party. I have a bumper to pick up sometime Saturday.

Plan where, and preferably Sunday...for reason noted above...

 

But seriously, add tint to the rear window. Get 10%, there is no law against it. And how come your mirror doesn't have the old school switch Eddie grew up with right after they invented the automobile Will @Crow_of_judgement ?

 

I'm on a stretch that will give me 8 off in a row if I play my cards right for the next while. Might be able to get some Mods in even though it's Cold AF startin' tonight again.

 

I was just glad the hand crank starter was no longer necessary.

 

The mirror is really a lot better than I thought it would be. At first I thought just another thing to go wrong but i like it and there not crazy expensive. You really should try one.

 

I have a list lol
I need to swap my needle bearing for the ECGS bushing, swap out my CV axles, fix my tranny cross member, install my transfer case skid and tranny skid, install spidertrax and do any necessary trimming. Install some lights in my bumper. It think that's about it for now
