Temps very warm for this time of year, shooting in a t-shirt two days before Christmas doesn't happen often.

Essentially, yes. It's a deck built over storage, we usually shoot off the ground on the clearing you see ahead, on lower ground. I was being a B and didn't want to lay in on the wet gravel, the snow was still intact in the shade.

5yo showed legit interest in daddy’s rifle the other day. After some discussion, it’s time to get him started.

Just ordered a Daisy Buck 105, 6k bb’s, and some child’s safety glasses.

Been spending some time trolling the hide. Been on that forum since the early/mid 00’s.

Man it’s gone downhill from what it used to be.

I don’t post a lot on there. I just ignore and filter out all the bullshit. The bear pit is definitely a bunch of senile old man conspiracy theorist. A lot of poser warriors on there too. That’s pretty much the internet in a nutshell. Still better than FB.

Maybe I should post a thread about bipods?!?! There’s only 4 on the main equipment forum now.

On topic, got a ARCA adapter for my warhorse Harris.

I never noticed. I scroll past all that. There’s nothing about bipods tripods barricade bumpers or saddles that I haven’t already developed an opinion for myself already. I’m just in it for the try dope, comms with some of the ballistitions and open coms with kestrel/AB and some of the homies.

I plan on getting into the long range shooting now that I have an 800 yard range to go to... this thing, while fun. Does not offer much in the way of magnification.

You'll see a few at CMP vintage sniper competitions. My Mosin that I put a repro PE scope on did not do so great at the 600 yard line. Once it got hot, it was anybodys guess as to where the bullet was going. Some people have real good luck with them though.

This ones been consistent at 800. No major issues once she gets hot. Just getting use to no magnification compared to modern scopes if fun

I think CMP needs to readdress their courses of fire. ZERO in common with the purpose of those rifles, nor the tactics employed...ever. It’s more like a firefight with a DMR.
