Having run uniball upper control arms in my Tacoma in the past the winter weather and mud caused them to be pounded out in no time in the northern climate. For that reason I stayed away from uniball control arms. Now in the future I might switch back to get more travel in my front end and help with alignment issues.

I was picking up some steering parts for my Tacoma build and my buddy showed me some uniballs he makes for the Total Chaos arms that will eliminate the problems with running these arms in wet/snow/salty/muddy environments. So if you've worn out a set of regular uniballs or are thinking of using a set of Total Chaos upper control arms but are hesitant due to the environment you'll be running them in check these out. They are greaseable and rebuildable.
Here is the link to the uniball.

Is it Teflon tape coated or just a dry lube spray assembly?

They should be on the shelf ready to go out the door. He had some built the last time I was there. No teflon just machined parts with a corrosion resistant coating. They last and as the parts wear you just tighten up the cap on the top of the joint. When they no longer tighten up you replace the wear parts that hold the ball in place. Check out the link and some of their other products to get an idea.

Ah i see its just a set screw for the new ball. I thought maybe you had to drill and widen the whole thing because the emf uniball cup was bigger and thatd be too hard to get exact. Anyone using these? Even in California my tc arms are crazy loud thinking of trying something different next time

It's either these or Deltas. I have Delta's in my TC arms. Had I seen this before purchasing, I would have tried them.

I am happy with the Deltas. But I like to try new and interesting parts. And these EMF units are cheaper.

There are a few out there in some builds a shop does in the Calgary area. Never heard of any complaints. I use other parts from EMF in links and steering and it's the best stuff I can find. There are a lot of trucks running their stuff for links and steering that compete.
