I know there are trails down in Cloudcroft but I have no experience with them. My understanding is there are lots of trails but lots of ATVs and dirt bikes also. Could be a good early spring trip before it warms up completely and gets crowded.

I'll do some digging and see if I can't throw some options after I get back from a trip.

Most of the trails up on the Lincoln are 50" ATV trails. There are a lot of forest roads and fire roads up there. Those are just a lot of easy cruising.

I've been watching Lifestyle Overland on YouTube a lot lately and he has done some trails through Southern NM into Colorado on the Enchanted Rockies Trail. I think this looks pretty fascinating. I want to give it a try sometime.

Here is part 1 of 5

I’ve checked out his videos before they are pretty cool. I was looking at the Enchanted Rockies trail has a potential route for a trip a few of us did back in November, while the route definitely looks scenic as hell it just doesn't seem challenging. I think our group that went out in November (the trip report is in the NM adventure thread) felt the same way about the NMBDR very scenic but not challenging at all unless there is some snow. With that said I'd be interested in giving it a shot if we can find some areas along the way to exercise that front diff!

Hey guys, tonight I met up with @TacoIII and @Darth ToyTaco for a few drinks and we got to talking about the thread and it's always lacking a little in activity for several reasons but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, we were thinking it would be nice to have a standing monthly brewpub meet up to give everyone a date they know in advance, make it if you can if you can't there's always next month. I think that'll give everyone on this thread a chance to make some plans to meet up, shoot the shit and plan some groups trips. The three of us still meet fairly regularly and figured that we should extend the invite to the rest of you. We're already a community so lets put some faces to those screen names.

With that said, we're not trying to make this thing anything other than a casual meet up so no sweat if you can't make it. As far as a schedule that's up in the air, we figured that a late in the week (Wednesday/Thursday) evening is probably best for most of us. There is a poll for people to vote and we can figure something out if people are interested.

There's a Local Overland Facebook group I'm part of, Desert Valley Overlanders, and they typically have monthly meet ups. It's not just Tacoma specific but for anyone interested in offroading and camping.

That's cool you have your group and I went to one of those meet ups but that isn't really our intention.

We are hoping to get people more active and involved on tacomaworld. The forum has been pretty dead and these meet ups would be an opportunity to meet and greet, hang out, and get people going out. At the least maybe people will be more active on the forum.

Anytime is fine really. I will be working intermittently throughout the day from home. How much were you wanting to grab?
