Yep, definitely. I was under there yesterday for a few looking over everything. Get a feeling for how much work I'm looking at. Oh, I didn't see a plug on the harness either for the actuator (if say it had 2-4 pushbutton selector). Kind of tells me that the wiring while some of it in place (the transmission control relay), perhaps not all of it is present.

I've been mulling it over quite a bit and am nearly 100% now on going the easier manual hub route. Sucks too since I already grabbed ADD parts. I don't know - maybe.

your dash harness is likely wired. its going to be engine harness side the likely is not. you can either run the wires yourself (im sure tyler can figure it out) or find an engine harness. you need to check the backside of your fuse box and check all the wires in the diagram thats dash side

yeah but even then, its still going to be a switch in the cab. For some reason I had it in my head that no switch was necessary. Might as well just get out of the vehicle.

oh and then I came across a post where they were talking about the manual hubs being locked (engaged) but not engaged until the trans case was engaged. does that make sense? maybe I'm remembering it wrong. I have bookmarked so many f-ing old threads and posts trying to cover all of this.

when manual hubs are engaged, the front diff is moving. the drive shaft is moving.. the transfer case is just disengaged until you put it in 4x4

if you have the dash harness and run the wires outside you shouldnt have any switches.. it should work factorylike

im off too. Just get tyler involved. hes good with wiring.. hell you can get the wires you need off a 4runner in the junkyard and just cut them out of the harness and go from there.

Incredible pictures and products. Thanks for sharing. It brings back so many memories of tube amps and ultra high end cables. :)

    4 run, 2 don't
Too lazy to move it but it should be on the wall I'm sitting at.

I still have stuff I'll either toss or keep from the house.

Heck I even have my ARB bumper at the side of the house and the winch in an extra bedroom lol

Gonna jack n spin my fronts. Chase down a rattle and a scrape scrape sound when turning rt. 6+12 shake wheels. I think it's dust shields or calipers. Hope it's not bearings. Got a belt squeal on start, droping skids to tighten pulley. Perfect weather here.
