You'd be surprised what geophysicists and geologists "get away" with at oil companies then. The guys that read the seismic and pick the drill prospects generally have a success rate in the deep water Gulf of Mexico of maybe 15% (for an average exploration drilling cost of $150 million). These are also some of the highest compensated guys. Also the smartest.

And just a quick FYI to fill in some more blanks - if you are successful and find oil in the deep water, add another $1 - $2 billion to develop the field!

Just part of the game in oil and gas industry. Most people have absolutely no comprehension of the cost and risk to find a commodity that goes up and down in value like a yo-yo. When things are good, things are great. When they are bad, they are horrible. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I'm in a small corporate office in Houston of 12 people, three of whom have Phds. Our international field office of 30 people has four more Phds.

I've got until June 30 to play in the sandbox, and then it's retirement time!

Let me know how you like the operation, if it is watertight, and how easy it is to take off. $179 for the SB.

Operation is super simple and it straps open. I just went through a small snow storm and the melting snow/ice didn't seep through.

Interesting work. My brother in law and sister in law write computer programs in Houston for the oil industry, both are extremely smart, John is damn near genius! NASA even tried to steal him away from the company they work for. Oil has been VERY good to them.
Lol, the only oil I benefit from is coolant in the CNC Walter cutter grinders I work with. Two more years for me and I'm done. Maybe then I can attack this pile of mods I've been sitting on. o_O

I honestly have no idea if that’s what it’s for. I was thinking maybe a pen, but I keep those on my visor and my extra charging cable seems to fit perfectly.

Mind if you take pictures of it folded up 1/3 and 2/3s of the way? I just bought the OEM cover for 350 and rethinking about it now yours does not leak anything.

Lucky, I didn't get one. But that's probably because it is a stick. Thankfully I got both fob keys.
