    Hi Guys

As the title says I am kinda resisting paying $80 for a new fuel door lock and thinking about adapting a mailbox lock or something like that.

    Did anyone tried and succeeded?

I am not sure if I have some missing parts in my body ie the original fuel door lock was forced out, so if anyone could take a pic if the original assembly - this means the door lock itself and the latch in the frame - that would be of enormous help.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Thanks a lot.

Wow, thanks heaps Bill for your prompt reply!
Before buying I need to check on another Tacoma to see if there are any missing parts on mine, it looks like the catch has been ripped apart.

Went to home depot yesterday picked a lock cylinder set they had here and tried it on the truck but sadly diameter too small to fit in the existing gas door.
Read about the suggested Amazon product, apparently does not fit either.
So back to trial and error.
If someone could please take a picture at the latch on the body, where the gas cap lock locks, that would be of great help.
I am not sure if mine is complete.
    Thanks
