HA HA! I spoke too soon *facepalm*

The switch for the back up ambers (green/red from harness) is acting off. When switched on the ambers come on and the led light to switch goes off. When switched off the led light goes ON and the ambers go off.

I have it wired red from harness to green/black on switch.
Green from harness is connected to red one on switch.

please help my feeble mind lol

So you have RED from the harness connected to both the Green AND Black from the switch?

    LED Light Bar
    Harness Switch
    Yellow-------Green
    Red----------Red1
    --------------Red2
    Black---------Black

    Amber Backlight
    Harness Switch
    Red---------Green
    Green-------Red1
    --------------Red2
    Black--------Black

With they way this is wired, the lower portion of the switch will not light up, but when you press the switch to activate, it should light up the top portion of the switch. Lower portion of the switch needs Red2 connected.

There is only one ground wire

The harness only has the one black wire, should I splice switch 1&2’s together and join both to the one?

If you are using two switches, yes, both switches will need the black wire. It is a ground for the switch backlight.

Is the wire on the switch green with a black stripe, or are you saying the red from the harness is connected to both the green and the black?

You said you bought the relay harness that was recommended by Baja right? Any chance you can provide pictures of the wires coming out of the relay? Or at least which wire is connected to which terminal of the relay? 30, 85, 86 and 87 respectively.

EDIT: I don't know how the relay harness from Baja is made since I cannot find any diagram for it but this is how I would wire it...

I am betting what you made up is about how the harness is made. From what I have seen it will be like this: Battery positive and battery negative leads go to the relay. Tied off of red before the relay is the red wires for each bundle ( 3 wire and two wire bundle) Black is tied off before the relay for the black lead in the 3 wire bundle. Yellow is the relay trigger from the 3 wire bundle. Green is the power going to the amber lights, if it has a relay that will be the trigger for that relay.
The red wires are bringing the hot into the switch. All the black wire is for is the ground for the led backlight in the switch.
I am willing to bet the harness was made for the main light switch to have a led backlight and the amber lights on a switch without a backlight, thats why it is only a 2 wire bundle.

I was just curious because the statement about green/black concerned me.

I've been having a hard time converting his language to a schematic also. But I believe that the Green wire (on the switch harness) has a Black tracer. (Grn w/Blk).

Big thanks again to everyone. It’s kind of a tangled mess but everything is working properly. Spliced into the dash circuit so the bottom portion illuminates as well :)
