Hello Everyone, New member here. I order Army Green Tacoma a month ago and waiting for build date from dealer. Dealer states it should arrive around 2nd week of March. Been a long time Toyota owner of 2002 4Runner with 230,000 mi, still looks and runs great. I need a pickup and the Tacoma will be my first ever new vehicle, can't wait! I plan to keep this truck for a very long time. Does anyone know how many 2020 TRD Pro's Toyota will produce, specifically in Army Green? My dealer stated they were lucky in getting my order in, Toyota is scaling back production of Army Green because everyone is ordering them.

I think your going to love your 2020 Pro, lots of minor improvements this year.

In regards to the number of Army Green Pro’s they will produce only a Toyota corporate insider would know.

I ordered mine back in September and my build date is January 28th. So, I'll get mine a week or so before you.
Several sources have said that the Army Green is made two months on and two months off. Also, that Toyota makes 5000 Pros each year. So, I'm guessing that there will only be a little over 1000 Army Green made.

Woo Hoo!! I've been talking with a dealership about ordering an AG Pro for a few months. My original plan was to wait until March to order based on my retirement and working through getting rid of one of our other cars. My wife and I were going through our plans and calculating our expenses when I retire and she looked at me and said "No need to wait. Order the truck." So I texted my contact at the dealership and asked about getting an order in for AG. I just talked to him on the phone and he told me that, after we'd talked in November, he placed an order for an AG Pro and figured if I didn't decide to take it, someone else would. It's scheduled to go into production O/A 1/22 so I should have it by mid-February!

I will be trading my 2004 Tacoma with 41k miles on it. I know I could make more in a private sale but I just don't want to go through the hassle.

I am psyched!! I'm having them put in all-weather liners, sill protectors, a bed mat, the bed lighting kit, mud flaps, predator tube steps and the black tailgate insert as accessories.

Nice rig, but that color looks more like Grass Green than Olive Drab. I guess I have to see one up close.

Seen my first AG Pro in person yesterday and I actually got excited to actually see one in the flesh. It was parked at a local El Pollo Loco fast food restaurant. It looked much darker in person than I expected but it was a cloudy day.

You must see it in person - hard to get an idea of the actual color from photos. And I think it looks different in different lighting. I love it, but I understand not everyone does. That's kind of how I felt about voodoo blue - I hate it, some love it. It happens, it’s a personal thing. If anyone’s on the fence, definitely see it in person - it’s a lot to spend on something you may hate later.

I went and saw a Tundra at my local. Did not like it on the Tundra. Hated it.

Saw one on a Tacoma and loved it a lot.

My build date has gone from 1/16, to 1/17, and now 1/27. I had added the bed lights to my build, but they were just removed. I was told that their removal was in order to keep the build moving along.

My build date was projected as 1/22. Yesterday my dealer sent me a copy of the spec sheet which now reflects a VIN. I'm assuming they assign VINs in a pre-production phase...not sure how far in advance of production though. Anyone else have a VIN assigned recently? At least the process is moving!

I don’t really understand that bc the bed lights are a distributor install, I believe, so nothing to do with the build. Either way, tho, you are likely better off - you can get the bed LEDs much cheaper by ordering from Sparksparts, and it is a simple plug and play, 10 minute install.

The initial VIN is likely a temporary VIN, at least that’s how it worked for mine. The published temp VIN actually changed to the permanent VIN about 48 hrs after the build date. No matter, tho - either VIN means there is an actual truck, which makes you even more impatient!

I got mine from the salesman that placed my order. The dealership should be able to get this info for you.

Once Toyota corporate accepts your order as an allocation, your dealer will get a build number assigned to it. The dealer will say its a VIN, but its not. If the last six digits have any letters in it, then its an allocated build number. At least that's the way I understand it from previous TW posts.
