Why don't we have a BS thread for the last few minutes of the day, when no one is busy an everyone just wants to go home?

Used to have keys to the shop when I lived in California. During summer months a few of us would start 3-4 AM and get off around 11-12:30. Just too hot in the shop to work during the day.

Before I retired, one lady "punched" in at 7:59:59, check messages I guess, then take time to go get coffee, ready to work by the half hour. Did that for years. If you said anything to the manager about others not working, you were basically told to mind your own business, felt I was in more trouble than those goofing off. Company policy too was, those not ready to work at the start had no repercussions, but if we checked out on the hour for the end of shift, it showed us as leaving early, so we were required to punch out a minute after.

I work a lame 8-5 schedule. Would at least enjoy a 7-3:30 or a 5-1:30 in the summer months.

I enjoyed 8- 5 for quite a few years. It's not bad. Now it's 6:30 to 5, half hour lunch.

But you live in wonderful Montana, while I am in the desolate inferno of western Arizona. I'd probably trade my schedule for 5- 8's to live in Montana, everything else being equal.

Your right... Too hot down there for my liking. Actually before we moved here from Sacramento Ca it was between Arizona and MT. Wife wanted AZ and I wanted MT. Tossed a coin and she wasn't very pleased about the outcome lol.
