Similar. They said they adjusted the pressure back to spec (I like to run them a little higher). I immediately told them they didn't as I have locking valve caps and they wouldn't take the time for that. I then turned on the truck, let the tpms load and...that's right, exactly where I left them.

I took my truck into the dealer for the first service. Told me 2 hours. Returned 2 hours later, told it wasn't ready and waited another 45 minutes. Finally get the keys only to find the only thing they did was fill the mats with water and throw them back in the truck. Had measurements for the brakes but never removed the wheels. The 45 minute wait was for them to wash it. It was still covered in bird shit I drive in with. I haven't taken it back to the dealer since. I called Toyota Canada and got verification that I can do all the maintenance and still retain the warranty. So screw the dealers!

I let them wash it once and it looked like they had literally sprayed it with a hose and that's it. Parts of it had started to dry and you could see the dirt. Brilliant

When i brought it in for warranty work, i told them not to wash or vacuum my truck, i tell them everytime actually. No way they are touching it with their dirty ass brush.

Dont want them to vacuum either, because that plastic on the floor is so easy to scratch. I would rather spend 30 min and do it myself properly.

This was a mistake of mine. Should have done the same. I told them not to wash it after that and yet they still did, but only once

Same, having a black truck, no way you're running it through your machine.

Dealers are NOT Toyota. They are just little individual companies that contract with Toyota. If your dealer sucks then go to a different one. My dealer is excellent.

I just so happen to have a factory head unit from my '18 pro in my garage.. let me know if you are interested.. sorry about the dealer woes..

and yes, most dealers are incredibly lacking in knowledge about these trucks.. they sell themselves, so nobody invests time to learn them...

Yep, it's unfortunate that it's so difficult to find a competent dealer these days, but fortunate that Tacoma's don't typically require many (if any) trips to the dealer.
I've had (still have) two Tacomas over 24 years and neither have ever been back to the dealer for a warranty issue.

appreciate it! Given it’s under warranty I’ll wait till it comes in. Now if it’s not here in another month I might give you a ring.

I don’t disagree. Toyota as a company is great! Have had the opportunity to work with some Toyota execs from Toyota NA and I can truly say the culture of kaizen and nemawashi starts from the top, even here in the US

Exactly my thoughts. Imagine all this shitty customer service and a vehicle that brakes down all the time. Nobody would buy toyotas.

I guess you cant have everything.
