I got a bed mat, drilled a few holes for my tonneau drains and then added a TRD oil cap. Loving it!

My Spiker Engineering hood struts came this morning and I got them installed. Pretty easy and very happy with both how they look and work.IMG_20200110_164819.jpg

Here’s what I was able to accomplish today. The 2020 Tacoma’s do not have the driver side compartments like my 2008 so I have to figure out how to secure the lower portion of the rack.

I like the XDs. I have the regular XD 40 I carry while on duty and the wife has the XD9. They are so thick for concealed carry though. I shoot a lot so the XDs 45 doesn’t bother me at all. I certainly prefer the extended mags though. Much easier with the extra finger on there. I’ll check out those holsters as well. Thanks for the tip

I installed some Weather Tech floormats (dealer provided) under my wifes feet, I soon realized that... wait a minute she has been driving my new Tacoma more then I have.

Ya the misses likes the XDS9...she really tiny hands. Shes a funny gal though, because she can run the Sig M17 like there's no tomorrow, and loves shooting it, more than all the other guns. We go shooting about 3 times a month for a couple of hours at a time, plus the stints here and there out to the woods for some long distance shooting/camping.

So i know this isn't exactly the right forum for this so if you are one of the people that gets butt hurt by posting in the wrong forum go ahead and skip reading this. Don't complain later if you choose to read on. Several people have read my post in this forum and asked questions about the hella horn install. So a couple of things.
Mounting - use the bracket that comes from hella. Use the bolt from the toyota horn. I had to rotate them apart slightly.
Electrical - use the stock connector. It doesn't have a positive lock. So that should be considered. I rotated the horn so the plug stays in pressure. Use a 1/4 spade connector for the ground. About 8" inches of wire. A 5/16" ring terminal will fit to the mounting bolt. Done. Hope that answers everyone's questions.

Did you use the relay that is usually in the kit? I recall installing some supertones in my Subie a while back and they had a relay in the kit as well.

The yellow ones don't need the relay. Only 3.5 amps per horn. The factory fuse is 10 amps. The red horns are older technology and do need the relay.

Quick Question for you gen 3 Owners!

I own a gen 1, My dad has a 2019 tacoma. I found a great deal on a ARE bed cap in the same color and bed size of his truck. Its coming from a 2016 Tacoma, will this fit his 2019?!

    Thanks

I installed the Rexing V1P 3rd gen front and rear dash cam. Amazon has it $30 off right now. Same deal I got plus I just did a review and they gave me an extra $20 rebate. Has 18 month warranty. Had it for about a month and love it so far. Easy install. Wires tucked in and used a harness that plugs into my mirror for power. Comes on when truck is started. Can also wire to fuse box and run it all the time if desired. Shapeways makes an adapter that mounts to the dash cam and gopro mount if you have one. Very pleased so far. 20191228_134113.jpg
