I popped mine off and just switched them out. The only difference in mine is the light on the new one is a different color than what came with my truck but it doesnt bother me.

The switch (012825) says auto on one side but both are auto?

For me this made the drivers window only auto up and down.

For anyone searching and finding this, I read this and bought that part 012825 from APDTY but it did Not give me auto up and down for the driver's window; only auto down like the factory one.

Not sure if this will work for you or not it was the answer to my question on Amazon before I bought mine.

Does this have the auto up feature for the drivers window ?

    Answer:
Yes the driver-side has auto, you will usually have to reset it once installed, to reset it you continue to hold the button down for 5 seconds after rolling down, then do the same when rolling up.

I would just suggest to anyone wanting to purchase this, for the auto up feature on the drivers door window, to email APDTY directly ask what the function of each switch should be. That way there should be no disappointment when you get one. Personally I have ordered my second from Amazon as the bulb in the first went out and both have worked for the drivers door auto down and up.

Thanks for the suggestion but it still didn’t work for me. Even the switch feels different for each direction. The down direction has a second click and the up only has one.
I called APDTY first and they thought it would work but when I called back they had no idea what I was talking about other than they got a new supplier for that part in the past year. The similar part by Dorman would be $150 and he wasn’t sure if even that one would function the way I wanted.
Good luck and feel free to update if you guys figure this out.

Mine definitely has double clicks up and down so I can only assume that maybe Amazon had some left over master switches they sold after APDTY started using a different supplier. Thats a bummer its a nice feature to have.

Yeah, Toyota saw your Q and put the kibosh on it! :annoyed:

What color is the light on the new switch? More important to me is having all the buttons lit but auto up would be nice too.

It was not the factory colour. (I think it was amber.) And only the auto up switch lights up anyway; so one of them.

Seems like the only OEM direct swap for 2011.5-2015 Tacomas is a 2008+ Tundra/Sequoia switch. Fancier models have lighted AUTO UP & DN on both front windows.

    P/N 84820-0C030

    Earlier Tundra/Sequoias used different wiring.

So, to be clear, this is a direct drop-in for a Gen 2 Tacoma, connectors and all? That's a great solution if that's so. TIA --

Yes sir. Most other toyota switches may look the same but have different plugs/wiring requirements.

I'm in a 2015, so this is a solid gold solution. Thx!

I hope so. Mine's on order but they're much harder to find used than the alternatives.

The driver side window master switch from a 2016 Sequoia does NOT work in my 2015 Tacoma. The connector is exactly the same, the pin configuration is exactly the same, but the windows don't work. One of my back windows went down but not up. Nothing from the "auto" switches. Putting the original back in and everything works as before.

Looks like something different inside the switch, despite having the same apparent pinout.

^^Nice. Is that the AliExpress switch? I almost went that route for $73 but was afraid it would eventually fail.

:( Good to know. Mine arrived today & will be able to confirm this later. It was a long shot but had to try it. Odd that the plug config was changed for newer models when other models still use the obviously different plug.

Was yours a new or used one?
