I got my spare BFG AT KO and stock TRD OR wheel mounted and balanced today. I can't wait to get that installed, my life will be complete and that ugly steel spare will be down the road.

Anyone know what a stock steel spare and tire is worth. It's never been used. I was thinking $80-100 locally

I ended up going with the OEM, little expensive but I trusted them a bit more, did go with eyecatcher for tailgate insert because of color. Been though a few car washes no issues

A bit delayed, but last week added the Morimoto xb headlights & fogs, SR fog bezels, TRD skid plate, and painted the lower bumper valance & fender flares black. Great temps this weekend so will be installing some new vinyl from @rrentrop. Also have the Kicker Key amp and Hideaway sub in queue for install as well.

Umm, California has is a budget surplus of several billion dollars. I’m not following the criticism of custom plates? They are your option to buy or not. It is great that California offers many custom plate options. This should be celibrated not criticized. Caulk it up to another benifit of living in California.

I'm not going debate California budget - I’ll just say double check your source(s) and leave it at that...

As for custom plates - I simply think it’s a WASTE of money (and material) to create/assign a new standard plate for me and destroy my black/yellow plates past the initial $50 “production fee”. I know they’re constantly producing plates in that fine facility close by to us both we call a state prison, but that’s not the point.

I will agree with you it’s neat they even offer different colored plates, but other than the weather (which isn’t even that great here in NorCal) and short drive to either the ocean or mountains, there’s nothing wonderful at all about living here unless you’re unsure what your gender is and think everyone deserves free health care at the expensive of others - then this is your haven! Lol

ps - if the “then move out CA then” comment is coming, please refrain - plots of land outside this state have already been purchased. It can’t come quick enough...

    Enjoy your weekend!
