My drivers seat has some of that going on, and I never have anything in my back pockets. I use a thin wallet carried in a front pocket. My truck has almost 46k, and I figure it is normal wear.

I will say the leather in my 2001 Trans Am, which has 49k miles, is holding up better than the Tacoma leather. To be fair, the T/A seats are holding up better than the BMW M3 I had, which I believe was actual leather hides. Not bonded or pleather.

Same on my 19. Wife has my sack so that's definitely not a contributing factor.

Not for a reasonable price but thank you. I bought it new, have a lot of memories tied to it, and have protected it well. My girl doesn't understand but I plan to grow old with my bird.

Huh. My '88 Supra's leather seats and upholstery looked great for years and years. This stuff doesn't even look as good brand new.

I was wrong then. I asked 2 guys that deal with uph for years and they said its synthetic for sure. I deal with uph as well and to me that doesnt look like leather at all.

I got a small tear in seating area and you can see a bit of white foam showing, that probably confused me even more.

Edit: i never seen leather that stretches like shit just from having wallet in your pocket. Ive seen 5-10 year old leather interiors that looked mint. Some weird leather they are using.

Japanese manufacturers are know for using lowest grade leather they can find. You should've seen my 2016 MDX after only 3 years and 14,000 miles. The 2018 MDX is holding up slightly better but we only have 6500 miles on it so far. My German cars have always held up much better than Japanese, and I've owned pretty much every make offered in US.

That is kind of annoying at 10K miles!! Wow. But, your passenger seat looks pristine. I guess you drove solo most of the time like I do haa
