    Hi everyone,

If you don't remember me, last January I totalled my 2013 ACLB. I promptly bought a 2015 DCLB which was REAR ENDED last night! January is clearly not my month. Reading another post on here it sounds like it might be totalled? Here are the pics of the damage, let me know what you all think. I really don't want to find another Tacoma. I love this truck.

I hope you and any passengers are checked out, and ok.

If you have any pictures for where the bed meets the cab they would be helpful. I don't want to try to assess damage, but I think (pending mileage and condition of the truck) that is fixable and shouldn't be a huge issue. Definitely seek at least two estimates from qualified shops in your area. Your insurance company should be able to direct you to one's that they trust.
    Keep us informed.

That's done. If the frame is kinked it requires replacement

On the bright side, it looks like it's only that rear section. A hard frame puller could get it close to fixed. And If they total it, you could keep it under a salvage title. Definitely still driveable I'm assuming. Just annoying

If they total it,buy it back, have the frame pulled back straight, and you will have extra cash in your pocket.

If nothing else is messed up and you really want to keep the truck then I would have someone straighten the frame as much as possible, box in and beef up both sides and mount up oem bumper or better yet get a nice heavy duty plate bumper........on your nickel, not the insurance's and not affect the title. Then keep driving it...........only if leaf mounts and any other part of frame was not damaged.

Hi all, I was the only one in the vehicle and I'm okay. Driver who hit me was unlicensed, uninsured, and unregistered. Not a U.S. Citizen either so the cop told me there is nothing they can do. @Greeny

Truck has about 48k miles on it. @pyrite4t3

Here she is sitting pretty. I just had the frame fluid-filmed too *facepalm*

Damn that sucks. Most insurance companies that I'm aware of will total that truck out for that frame damage.

That's a shitty deal. I've been there done that and my back has been screwed up ever since. My insurance company paid for my medical appointments but I didn't get one dime in my pocket from it. I was stopped on the freeway because of the accident in front of me and the car rear ended my 4Runner at around 70 mph.

Yet if you do something in response to their vehicular assault because no one else can then you would be the one in jail or getting sued by someone who has no right to be here, no right to be driving & no right to be involving you in their BS.........stupid stupid stupid bass ackards nonsense.

The un registered- licensed- insured thing Blows.

Talk to your insurance about what can be done. Some states have underinsured type protections.
    That sucks, super nice truck.

Although he'll have a ton of extra cash in his pocket when he's back on the road it'll have a salvaged title and will be worth a lot less and it'll be much tougher to sell with a salvaged title.
