Forgot about the seasoning. I think beef flavor is stronger and chicken.

OP, I had a dent in the same general area and about the same size. My dent was higher and next to my rear window. I lived in Tampa, FL at the time and had a company called "Dent Wizard". They came out to me, took a look, and gave me two options since it's in a hard area to fix. Most likely they are going to give you the same options as me. They will try and take the dent out using standard methods but if they can't they will suggest to drill a hole in the door jam and push out the dent and then reseal the hole they drilled. Luckily they did not have to drill a hole in my door jam. I wish you good luck.

Find a very good paint less dent shop. Here’s my before and after pics from a bike hitting my car.

What a lot of people don't know is that Toyota doesn't recommend PDR there's a TSB. The concern is micro cracking of the paint and rubbing the e-coat off the back of the panel.

If you have kids you will know this trick works. Plus a small infant can paint a typical sized bedroom with just one chocolate chip. They won’t show you how but if you look away for 30 seconds...BAM chocolate has been applied to every surface.

what a shitty place to get a dent.

just put some vinyl sticker over it, otherwise its gonna cost you a bit to fix unfortunately.

maybe on both sides a black vinyl of some sort.

Wait, we talking about "dropping Dungeness in a pot of water" crabs or "wearing a water filled jock" crabs?

Either way, I think you're right (about the dent as well). I've done some amateur body work as was suggested. Big flat surfaces are easy. Those little corner pieces are a bitch.

Maybe but there's pretty much no chance it just pops out perfectly. It will need sanding, filler, primer and a paint blend to look half decent.

I've seen a ton of DIY body work and most times it just makes more work for the professional to fix in the end.

You might try more that just one PDR guy. Some are better at working their magic than others.

    Yes.
I have a dent in the exact same spot on my truck OP, I got it about a year and a half ago. I got a quote from 1 dent guy and he said it was going to be $400. He also said he would have to drill a hole on the inside of my door sill area to pop it out, I called bs on that and passed on his service. I have yet to fix mine because everyone I know says it’s hard to see. I notice it everyday..........

It was my daily driver. Ford C-Max. I had a FZJ80 at the time which got 9 mpg and the wife would have a fit every time I drove it.

If a PDR guy told me that he needed to drill a hole in the door sill to do the "fix", I'd say go for it. As a matter of fact, I actually had to have that done with a dent. PDR guys do not like to drill hoes and usually will not accept responsibility if anything goes wrong. Better that than an auto body repair and repaint. Silver is hard color to match.

The only PDR guys that I could find willing to take it on were the $100 Facebook guys. One guy even turned it down. Since the paint is scratched pretty deep I’m going to have a trusted auto body guy do the repair. He brought my Jeep fenders back to factory after the previous owner dented the hell out of them.

I’ll post some pictures when it’s done. He’s not able to take it on till beginning of February.

That metal is stretched. I wouldn't go past putting a spot of paint back in it.

Fixing it right is wayy overkill unless it's a Garage Queen.
